Pastor Sheila Cumbest

I'm always focused on helping others engage in a deeper relationship to Jesus Christ and trying to create a space where the peace of God abounds. None of us live into our relationship with God perfectly, but we don't have to be perfect. Learning to love God with our whole heart, mind, soul and strength is a lifetime journey. Learning is key for me. We need each other to do that. The Bible is a joy to teach and to live. I want to engage people in growth as disciples who want to follow Jesus. If you are hoping to find a community that is seeking to love and serve, I hope you'll join us.

I'm a wife, mom, and a person who loves the outdoors. My husband, Chris, and I have been in ministry for over 30 years each. We've served together and apart at times mostly in central Mississippi as a part of The Mississippi Conference of The United Methodist Church. We have two children. Our daughter, Elizabeth, is married to Phillip. She is also a pastor in the North Georgia Conference. Our son, Jesse, also resides in Atlanta and teaches.

We've made Morton our home. We love this community and want to invest our lives in this place.
